Own Your Evidence offers two Evidence Brief pathways — General Professional and Academic and Researcher. The questions and generated report differ, but the same privacy protections apply to both.
What we collect
When you use the Evidence Brief generator, we process the answers you type into the form (your first name, optional email address, and the short reflections you enter about your work, achievements, challenges, beneficiaries and future direction) and the tone you select. We also collect basic technical information such as your device type and, if you have accepted analytics cookies, non-personal usage events.
Why we collect it
We use this information solely to generate your personalised Evidence Brief, to allow you to review and download it, and to improve the tool for future users.
How your answers are used to generate the report
Your answers are sent to a third-party AI service (currently the Lovable AI Gateway, which routes to hosted large language models such as Google Gemini) so that the model can draft your Evidence Brief. We do not send your name or email to the model when it is not needed to produce the report.
Third-party AI services
Yes — the Evidence Brief is AI-assisted. The AI provider processes your inputs to generate the response and, per its own terms, may log request content for abuse prevention. Please avoid entering confidential, sensitive or third-party personal information.
How long we store your information
Your report is stored locally in your browser for your session. We do not maintain a long-term database of your report contents. Aggregate, non-identifying usage counts (for example, how many briefs have been generated) may be retained.
Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymous usage events (page views, generator progress, download success) via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation. We never send your written answers, name, email address or report contents to the analytics platform. You can decline or change your preference at any time on our Cookie Policy page.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.
Your rights
You may request access to the information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion at any time. See Request Data Deletion.
